This is an area of science (heavily debated) that deals with the search for, analysis, and discovery of animals not yet proven to exist by science. The field has made some notable discoveries now proven to be real (such as the Okapi), but for the most part the name of this field of science has been tarnished with various hoaxes and improper identifications over the years.
This is a thread for debate, post things that you think are real, or fake. Let's get conversation going.

I'll start the conversation off with this apparent Mermaid video footage taken in Israel. (Close up starts around 28-30 seconds in)
What do you all think? Real or fake? Personally I think it's fake, I didn't see splashing when it dove in and the way it faded was (at least in my eyes) above the water More than likely a surprisingly well done CGI hoax.

first off, Why does EVERYTHING end up in Israel, and also, How does israel get a cliff with grass on it.
Secondly, The thing on the rock looks more like a few plastic bags or a tunafish which got brought in by breakwaters, Because tuna can get dragged in by storms.
Thirdly, the recorder is trying to hide something from our eyes, since he doesn't zoom in much, meaning we can't get important details on if this thing has a face or not.

Yeah, he only zoomed in at the end of the video where the thing supposedly swam off. It just looks like really bad CGI to me
