Time to discuss Gen 7!
I hope for a lot of new Pokémon. That was something Gen 6 lacked (although obviously it had a lot of Megas to make up for it).
I'm also hoping for more evolutions of existing Pokémon, since they hardly do that any more.

Video for reference - This could possibly be the best generation of Pokemon given some of the features that they're actually changing.

How much do we actually know that they're changing?
We do know that you can transfer Pokémon from the Generation I Virtual Console games. That might actually convince me to buy that as well (otherwise I could just emulate).

Several things we got from this teaser: - Gen 1 Transfer - Vehicles - Heavy emphasis on previous generation Pokemon (possibly alluding to nostalgic trip back to other regions or new megas) - New Pokemon (two teased, one looks like a Dark / Flying type, the other looks to be some kind of ghost type (color sketch on wall paper)

Heavy emphasis on previous generation Pokemon I'm assuming they just don't want to reveal the new ones yet. Given how much emphasis on previous Gens there was in X/Y, I have a feeling they'll go more down the Black/White route and put a lot more focus on new ones.

I would DEFINITELY love if they took a hint from GSC(aka gen2) and made past regions explorable, with gym battles and everything.
What would make my 20 year celebration overwhelmingly complete would be if all regions from previous generations were re-made in this game, although, I'm not sure such a thing will ever happen.

Nintendo themselves said they're never going to make a game where all regions are explorable. But being able to explore an extra one or two regions would be pretty awesome.

Too much work, and would need huge memory capacity. It would also discourage future generations as well

Too much work, and would need huge memory capacity. It would also discourage future generations as well What Dalton said makes the most sense. The memory capacity would be less of a deal if they made the cartridges the same size as the GBA ones, except with today's technology. Which would, albeit, require a new version of the console, or the next generation of it.
