-Note that the below content is copy and pasted information-Nintendo is hosting a Pokémon Direct tomorrow morning. That was announced earlier this week. What wasn’t announced, however, was the full scope of what they’d cover during that presentation. Well, a fresh Trademark filed in Europe might have leaked the massive reveal. Nintendo trademarked Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, complete with the logos you see at the head of this post. The trademark filing occurred today, February 25, 2016, and it was filed in both English and German. The filing was first noticed by newcomer outlet NerdLeaks, though we’ve searched the database and found the trademarks as well. Their existence has been confirmed. Here are screenshots of both pages, with actual links in the source field below. We’ll have an embed of the Pokémon Direct tomorrow morning. It starts at 10am ET. It’s there that we’ll find out which platform these games are for, or if they even exist at all.

A lot of people are saying because Nintendo has trademarked other Pokemon names like Pokemon Gray / Pokemon Amethyst (that never came to be) that we can't think that Sun and Moon are real. Completely disagree with that. Pokemon Sun and Moon have official artwork; none of the other trademarks that didn't make it did. They're gonna announce Sun and Moon tomorrow, probably with the new starters as well. I'm so hyped right now.

Nintendo also registered many web domains related to "Pokemon", "Sun" and "Moon". pokemon-sunmoon.com, pokemon-moonsun.com, pokemon-sun.com, pokemon-moon.com ... I don't think they ever did that for their other names like "Pokemon Grey". Reveal tomorrow, I don't know. Maybe a confirmation, that would be already great. Also this version is the best: i.imgur.com/B2vdU5K.jpg Kappa They trademarked Pokemon Gray so that no-one else could use it. The reason I'm pretty confident that Sun and Moon are different and will actually be confirmed is because Sun and Moon have actual artwork attached to them. Nintendo knew exactly what it was doing trademarking these two Gen 7 hype here we come

So it's confirmed! Pokémon Sun & Moon coming in the end of 2016! Sadly we got no gameplay footage, only some concept arts and dev footage. But it's very interesting to see what's on them. We can see a new Pokémon looking like a bird, something close to a Fletching but with different details. We can see many visuals of buildings, notably the Pokémon Center which is cylindrical and a big hotel which looks like the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Possible that the new region (if it's a new region, we don't even know if it's a new gen) is based around Southen Asia. The most surprising stuff is probably all those vehicles. No way to know if we will use them, but it's very detailed, we can see a firetruck with a Blastoise on it, an ambulance, some pick-ups with pokémons behind. If the new Pokemon has vehicles you can drive, holy shit that's gonna be fantastic. I'm so fucking hyped right now I wish they would have revealed a few extra Pokemon though.

A lot of people are saying because Nintendo has trademarked other Pokemon names like Pokemon Gray / Pokemon Amethyst (that never came to be) that we can't think that Sun and Moon are real. The main difference were that all those other ones like Gray and Amethyst were only trademarked in Japan. Sun and Moon were discovered in a European trademark application, so it was more likely that they'd already decided on them. Interesting note: it wasn't a brand new trademark application, it was just discovered recently. They applied for Sun and Moon at the same time that they applied for the trademark for Alpha Sapphire.
